One half of all Canadian women have experienced physical or sexual violence
Violence is far too common in the lives of Canadian women. One half of all Canadian women over the age of 18 have experienced physical or sexual violence. That is a shocking statistic. It comes from a Statistics Canada survey that was conducted in 1993. It was a one-time-only survey. If you or someone you know has been physically or sexually assaulted, we hope you will keep looking at this website. We’ve done our best to make this website a helpful resource.
