Karen McAndless-Davis, RCC
Karen comes to this work through personal experience. Her story is somewhat unique in that her husband sought out appropriate counselling, did the work, changed and they remain married. She is a Registered Professional Counsellor with a private practice in New Westminster, BC. The focus of her work, for almost 30 years, has been supporting women impacted by abuse.
As well as individual counselling, she leads support groups for women and trains professionals in best practices in the field of VAW. She and Jill Cory are the authors of When Love Hurts: A Woman’s Guide To Understanding Abuse in Relationship (Penguin Random House, 2016).
